Nokia N86 8MP - wonderful birthday gift from hubby.

A brand new Nokia N86 8MP is daddy's gift for my birthday. I really can't believe it. At first, I am lost of words and so excited when I see the box. Ooh, you might say that I am extra exaggerating about this things. But you can see, just two weeks ago, i cried so hard when my digital camera LCD became black and until now, i really don't know what happened to it. I was deppresed for a while because my digi cam is really a part of me and Peachy's everyday life. Well, I'm a picture addict.(LOL)

Well, just I am trying to cope up with it, hubby told me that I should not keep on getting sentimental over some damage objects. Maybe, you'll get lucky and you'll win something, he said. My answer was a short, " I do hope so." I am so happy and yes, you might be thinking, I'm jumping with joy when i received this cellphone, simply for two reasons.

1. I have never owned a brand new cellphone in my life (just until now). My old cellphones were all hand me down, coming from him or coming from a close relative.

2. I am so thankful because I have a cellphone and a high pixel camera at the same time. So, I don't think there is a need for me to buy another digital camera.

Just to share with you some specifications of my new Nokia N86.

From what I've learned from the internet, Nokia N86 offers more subtle but meaningful improves over the Nokia N85 (by the way, they look similar except for the second slide) and it surpassed the Nokia N95. This phone packs all my favorite features , 8 MP camera, stereo music and just as they say, one of the best cell phone cameras on the market today. Well, even better that the Sony Ericksson C905 who happens to be 8MP too.

I'm so impressed with its OLED screen, though i could not tell much because it's my first time to have one like this but i am really loving it.

You may've thought Nokia lost their touch, you may be out of love with the Nseries but the Nseries are always keeping an eye on you. Their wide-angle, variable aperture eye. On you. Camera-wise however, the N86 8MP seems to reduce the distance to point-and-shoot digicams quite successfully. Its camera performance is yet to stand trial by fire but the specs look impressive.

Last Wednesday I celebrate my 29th Birthday with a simple snacks in our office and nothing more. I am expecting that some of my relatives will greet me but I think they have not remembered my birthday but I am so grateful when I have learned that many of my facebook and blogger friends gave a very heartwarming greetings for me. To all of you, thank you so much for being there to cheer me up and for listening with my endless questions and whining.

I am also happy to learn that some people like my birthday post. There are still many things that I wanted to tell, some things that really amused and amazed me but there are so many and I feel that it would just bored you knowing it. LOL.

Anyway, I am really happy with the outcome of my birthday, I got a gift from hubby, a brand new cellphone (it's really cool and will make a separate post about it), I won a DVD from PSMoms Reviews, and a BDJ at Entrepbuff and Peachy's gift for being featured at Playhousedisney-asia Birthday Book had arrived. So, it was indeed a very fulfilling day. I have so many things to thank for.

It's My birthday!

Well, it's my birthday! I may not be able to spend much time in blogging today. So, I have made an earlier post for today. It's another additional year for me. Yes, I am getting older, even though I don't want to think about it but it's really becoming visible in my face (LOL). You might think that I am having this wrinkles already but the truth is my eye bags are getting bigger and bigger each day. It must be because of my late sleeping habits. Just like now, it's already in 2:06 in my computer's clock but I am still wide awake and eating (guess what?) Brownies.

It's my birthday today and I want to share to all of you some important details/facts regarding my life. So, I am giving you 29 random things about me. I do hope that you will not get tired and bored reading up to the last words of this post because I will be giving a special award to my ever Wonderful Blogger friends.

Let me start first by sharing you this Wonderful Poem my father made for me. (Although we have our own differences I miss him and I can't help myself not to cry, after all he is still my father and we have shared great memories together too.)

1. I was born Romarianne Belarmino Rosaura in a small barrio of Magsaysay, Sta Fe. Romblon at the time Pope John Paul II is visiting Manila. I was brought by my mother in Manila when I was three months old and was reared by my grand mother Romana on which my name was taken by my father.

2. My first traumatic experience is when i was four years old when a big fire hit our place that left hundreds of people homeless.

3. I do love reading books and I am hoping that I can complete my John Le Carre Collection. Here are some of my collections.

4. I love to collect just anything. Here are some of my old coins collection. I also have a collection of different shells and stones.

5. I love seafoods and shrimps is my most fave. I can eat all of this in one seating (LOL)

6. It is always my dream to become a princess just like Princess Di and Princess Grace.

7. I am a dreamer.

8. I am a cry baby. I easily cry on just anything. Be it a simple event or just watching a movie or television shows.

9. I wanted to become a movie star and cat woman is my dream role. LOL.

10. I love chocolates.

11. Victoria Secret "Wish" is my all time favorite Perfume and I would be so happy to receive one.

12. I am a sensitive person and a little bit worrier sometime.

13. Woman In love is my favorite song.

14. If I would be given a chance to be anything. I would love to become a fairy.

16. I love nature. I love going to the beach and looking at the blue sky.

It's our wedding anniversary and ash Wednesday in the same time. We have a perfect timing and a perfect plan. I have been telling this to hubby since last week but last Monday I told him that it would be a perfect timing to have my entry for Yuga tech Great Gadget giveaway promo taken today. After many please and smile, he eventually agreed to my proposition.

We attended mass as a thanksgiving to our Dear Lord for giving us another year of fruitful marriage. After the mass ended, the big minute that I have been waiting for, (yes, I put aside my pride, I know that many people would be looking at me, well, that is what i wanted, for them to look at and stop by for a while to know what i am holding) I found the perfect spot and hubby got his spot too over the top of a stone on the other side of the road. I am holding up high my banner for every one to see but suddenly, I sense something wrong.

Our digital camera is not working. I could not believe it because I made it sure that i have fully charge the battery and besides i have used it just this lunch. I have no choice but to go hurriedly on the other side and to see what is the problem. Just as I look at our digi cam, the screen is totally dark/black and i can't see any colors. Yes, i do panic that instant, why is a perfect plan can go this very bad. I can't help myself and I cried for a while but my ever supportive husband still encourage me to pursue on taking a picture even with his cellphone camera.

Even though I am still sad and dismayed with what happened in our digital camera, I still make my best shot for the camera. After all, I really wanted to win the MSI Wind U123H. Just as hubby says, you cant' be a winner if you would quit now. So, i have to set aside my feelings, even my shyness to focus on my aim.

I am so happy to receive positive feedback's from other stage moms like me. Just reading their comments really touch my heart. I have been through different online voting and I know the hardship of a mother just to win and grab the awards. It is still fresh in my memory, that there was a time that I was in front of the computer, day and night just to vote for my baby, (even hubby help me that time) for the chance of an appearance and a minute of fame but is it worth it? If you would ask me, i would really say NO, I was very happy then but that happiness turns into frustration, because my hard earned labor was just a waste of time and MONEY (mind you, I need to purchase something in exchange of that fame). The promised prize was NOT given to me until now, well I supposed maybe it was delivered into a wrong ADDRESS (because she said that it was already delivered.) I have not receive any CALENDAR even until now and it was just too sad and frustrating then.

There were other moms then that purchase some valuable points to vote for their baby only to find out that the site will soon be out of sight and their precious points will just turned into waste. Actually, I was not even after the prize then, just seeing your lovely baby in the internet with all the people telling you how lucky you are, is already a blessing but what bothered me most is to learn the fact that many other moms were also a victim by this (what can you call that, a scam perhaps) site.

I have learned many lessons from that experience and the important part of it and what I am so grateful that is, I have gained freinds, true , valuable friends from the internet whom you can share your thoughts, emotions and even personal problems.

It's almost end of the month for some reason , I neglected to make a post about Peachy's Magazine Appearance. I have been very busy on my February Baby and Blogging Contest and looking for some prospect sponsors.

We were lucky that Peachy is included at Smart Parenting January-February Birthday Corner. It was our first time here, her picture was also published at Disney Princess magazine January-February Issue. DFA Launches Logo and Slogan Contests that Call For Global Action on Nuclear Disarmament and Non-Proliferation

In line with Philippine efforts to promote global peace and security, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) today launched logo and slogan contests that will call for global action on disarmament and non-proliferation.

The contests also aim to educate and inform the Filipino public of the crucial role that the Philippines will assume as President-elect of the 2010 Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference (NPT RevCon) on May 3-28 at the United Nations headquarters in New York.

The NPT is an essential cornerstone in the global pursuit of nuclear disarmament. It was designed to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons and weapons technology, to further the goal of nuclear disarmament and general and complete disarmament, and to promote cooperation in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy.

The two contests are open to all Filipinos, 16 years and above, who are residing in the Philippines. Deadline of submission of entries is on March 15, while the announcement and awarding of winners will be in April 2010.

The winner for the logo contest will receive a cash prize of P10,000.00 while winners of the slogan contest will receive a cash prize of P5,000.00 (First Prize); P3,000 (Second Prize); and P2,000 (Third Prize). Winners will be given free air fare to Manila for the awarding ceremony.

The winning entries will be used by the Philippines as its official logo and slogan prior to, and during its 2010 NPT RevCon Presidency.
